Jorge Masvidal parents, Jorge Masvidal Sr. and Mama Dukes raised him in Maimi. Jorge was born in 1984 to a Cuban father and a Peruvian mother.

However, the communist revolution came to Cuba, causing turmoil, which drove Jorge Sr. to leave his country behind. As per Wikipedia, his dad left Cuba in a self-made raft and ended up on the Virgin Islands.

Jorge’s father was imprisoned for five years in California for manslaughter and eighteen years in Florida for drug trafficking. Jorge competed in wrestling at St.Brendan High School but could not stay eligible due to his bad grades. So, he started training in karate and mixed martial arts.

Masvidal and his wife, Iman Kawa, have been wed since 2018. While Masvidal was residing in Miami and attending American Top Team training, the two came into contact. Soon after, they started dating, and they’ve been together ever since.

Kawa is an entrepreneur who works in the real estate industry. She also oversees the career and schedule of Masvidal. She has stood by her husband through thick and thin and is a staunch advocate for him.

Kawa consistently attends Masvidal’s fights and strongly supports his career. She is a significant source of motivation for him and has contributed significantly to his career.

Jorge and Iman are Proud Parents of Three Children

Masvidal and Kawa parented three children, one son, and two daughters, per Sportskeeda. The dad and kids are exceedingly close and frequently seen spending time together. They enjoy spending free time together and have a remarkably tight family unit.

Gabriella Masvidal, his oldest daughter, was born in 2008. She competes in gymnastics and swimming, in addition to cheerleading. Gabriella took home the bronze at the Florida State Cheerleading Championships in 2019.

Kailah Masvidal, his youngest daughter, was born in 2010. Together with swimming and competitive gymnastics, she is a competitive cheerleader. Kailah has received various honors for her cheerleading exploits, including first place at the D2 Summit in 2019.

As a devoted parent, Jorge supports his kids in their interests. He frequently visits their competitions and is incredibly pleased with all that they have accomplished.
